DAY 7: COOKING CLASS HALFDAY- FREE (B,L)

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Hai café. We start the day with a welcome drink at our meeting point.
Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

At 9:30 AM: Upon arrival Ba Na Hills, the tour guide will lead you to get on a Cable Car which gains 4 world scores. From The Cable Car, you can get a bird’s-eye view, see the vast forests, contemplate the beauty of the dreamy Mo stream and soft Toc Tien waterfall.
Arrive at Station 2, our guide will take you to Debay Wine Cellar and Le JardinD’Amour Flower Garden. Le JardinD’Amour is a huge flower garden, And a highlight in this tour is the Golden Bridge (also called” Hands of God”). At 8:00AM: Your private vehicle and an English-speaking tour guide pick up at your hotel in Da Nang and take you to Hue. We have a chance to see China beach – My Khe Beach – one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Vietnam. After that, take a drive over Hai Van Pass, one of the highest passes in the country. It’s also is one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam. Hai Van is the last spur of the Truong Son Range that reaches to the sea. Scenic viewingis at its best here with the sequel of valleys and lagoons as the road descends lower. Our last stop is Lang Co beach which lies on the most beautiful curve of the “S” where you can be the first to see sunrise in Vietnam. Lang Co beach attracts visitors by its wild beauty with white sand and blue sea.

Take a drive to the tombs of the Emperors TuDuc or KhaiDinh. The tomb of TuDuc, a 19th century Emperor who lived in the most splendid opulence, is regally set among groves of frangipani and pine trees. The tomb of the 20th century Emperor KhaiDinh is grandiose but, unlike that of TuDuc and the others, is a melange of Eastern and European architectural styles which perhaps accurately reflects the changing political currents which were taking place in the country at the beginning of the century.

On top of the hill, with the height of 47m, Perfumes River appears in front of you with all its beauty. Don’t forget to take as many photos as you can. Keep cycling toward Thuy Bieu Village along verdant paths; you can see local people’s daily life. Arrive in Thuy Bieu Village. Thuy Bieu Village has been well-known with its immense grapefruit gardens, which its grapefruit is different from other species throughout Viet Nam. It’s smaller but sweeter and known under the name of ThanhTra. Have a nice biking and walking around quiet Thuy Bieu Village, feeling the comfortable relax in a friendly air of local people. Then our tour guide will take you through the heart of the city along Dong Khoi Street to visit Notre Dame Cathedral (The hundreds Years Red Cathedral)and Old Post Office, 2 most famous and oldest of classical French colonial architecture construction was built more than 100 years ago, War Museum then visit The People’s Committee Hall.
Enjoy lunch at Pho Hoa Pasteur – one of the best places to sample Vietnam’s most popular noodle soup. The restaurant has been run by successive generations of the same family which adds a little history to your meal. The broth recipe here is a family secret which helps create a little mystique around the flavors. Served with your bowl of pho is a plate of deep fried bread called “qouy”. This bread is actually of Chinese origin but it is finding favor as a daytime side dish. Return to your hotel to rest & relax.

07:30 AM Pick up at your hotel and transfer you to Ben Tre and arriving in Ben Tre at around 10:00AM. Then boarding a motorboat and cruising through beautiful rivers and canals where coconut trees line perfectly along both sides. Reaching a bee-keeping farm where Vietnamese traditional music (Don Ca tai tu – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) can be heard and seasonal tropical fruit as well as honey tea can be tasted (included). Then slowly proceeding to a workshop where coconut candies are made and have a chance to learn the coconut candies making process.
Afterward, being on a cart powered by a motorbike and traveling through some tranquil villages where rice fields, vegetables gardens…can be seen and admired.

06:30AM ~ 07:00AM Being at a wharf to board a motorboat for sightseeing the Cai Rang Floating Market which is the biggest and most colorful floating market in the Mekong Delta’s region.
In the very early morning, the river has become a busy commercial site where hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants and foods…line along the river and are ready for trading. Sellers will hang samples of what they are selling on the top of a long pole on their boats so that buyers can see from a distance what sellers are selling.
After the Cai Rang market, continuing cruising through small creeks to a local orchard and enjoying tropical seasonal fruits.

1.The weather & our latest advice on the weather

Light clothes regardless of the season in the south but for the visit of temples and pagodas, make sure you have a top with sleeves (shoulders must be covered) and bottoms going at least up to the knee. From November to March it can get pretty cold in the North, make sure to have warm clothes for mornings and evenings.

Northern Vietnam:

Dec – Feb: 10°C to 25°C, mostly dry, grey.
March: 15°C to 30°C, season change, dry.
April – June: 25°C to 35°C, some heavy showers.
Sept – Oct: 25°C to 35°C, clear weather, occasional showers.

Note: from 5°C to 10°C less in the mountains; make sure you have warm clothes.

Central Vietnam : Hoi An, Hue

2/ Visa

To go to Vietnam you must have a valid passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return.
The Government of Vietnam promulgates the Resolution on Vietnamese Entry Visa Waiver for Citizens of Five European Countries: UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. This exemption is applied for a maximum period of 15 days regardless of passport categories and purpose of entry into Vietnam, and is valid until June 30, 2021.
For any stay lasting more than 15 days, or for a multiple entry stay in a period of less than 15 days, a visa is required. A period of 30 days is required after the last exit from Vietnam in order to once again benefit from the visa waiver measure for a stay not exceeding 15 days.

3/ International flight

Our offer does not include international flights between your country and Vietnam for two reasons:
International flights from your country are more expensive if purchased in Vietnam. It is therefore more beneficial for you to buy them from a ticketing agency in your country.
The payment and booking conditions for international flights are strict while it is difficult for us, a local agency, to apply the same conditions to you (full payment before travel). Since international financial transactions give rise to significant bank charges, you will be led to pay unnecessary surcharges.

5/ Cancellation Policy:

More than 30 days before arrival: no cancellation charge will be done (Client’s non-refundable deposit will be forfeited)
