Vietnam visa is required when you stay more than 15 days in Vietnam. Citizens of most countries must carry out the necessary procedures to apply for a visa from the Vietnamese Embassy in the country of departure. It allows foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam at Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang international airports or across any of Vietnam’s land borders with China, Laos and Cambodia. It will be effective from the date you stated on the form (desired length of stay).

VISA- EXEMPTION
Citizens of some countries are allowed to enter and stay in Vietnam for a certain period of time without a visa.

2. In order to enter Vietnam on a visa-free basis, citizens of these countries must ensure:
– Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Vietnam.
– The passport has at least 02 blank pages.
– When entering to Vietnam, show your passport to costoms, then it’s ok.
3. Noted: Foreigners entering Vietnam for the first time under the exemption category, if you return to Vietnam within 30 days from the date of your first exit, you will have to apply for a visa.
COMPUSORY VISA
1. Things necessary to apply visa:
Vietnam tourist visa is not required for some nationalities on the list of countries that are exempt from Vietnam visa. In case you are required to have a visa to enter Vietnam, you need to meet the following criteria:
– Current passport valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Vietnam (temporary passports are not accepted)
– Passport has at least 2 blank pages to seal visa and immigration.
– 02 valid passport photos (4×6 portrait photo). If you don’t have a photo, there is a quick counter at the airport, the fee is not much (around 5usd)
– Present return air tickets, insurance, booking hotel reservations (In case of request)
2. Classification of Vietnam tourist visa:
Currently, you can apply for a tourist visa of the following categories:
– 1 time of entry per month (valid for 1 month with only 1 entry).
– 1 month of multiple entries (valid 1 month with multiple entries).
– Every 3 months on entry (valid for 3 months with only 1 entry).
– 3 months of multiple entries (valid for 3 months with multiple entries).
3. How to apply for Vietnam tourist visa? Usually you have 3 ways to apply for a Vietnam tourist visa, including: – 1st way : Apply for a visa at Vietnam airport You can register online in advance/ or ask Travel agent to get visa approval letter and then get visa upon arrival at Vietnam airport.

4. The cost of applying for a Vietnam tourist visa The cost of applying for a visa will depend on the method you choose to get the visa.
– 1st way : Apply for a visa at Vietnam airport You need to pay 2 types of fees:
(1) Pre-approval letter service fee – paid online to Travel agent. We will work with the Immigration Department of Vietnam to obtain a visa approval letter for you and then email you, you print it out and take along then show to the costoms.
(2) Stamp fee – to be paid in cash to the immigration officer at Vietnam airport. The service fee will be fixed according to each type of visa, the number of applicants and processing time while stamping fee will be fixed by visa type.
