FULL DAY DISCOVERY 4000 ISLANDS

We leave from Pakse with a bus to a small village where we board a local boat which takes us down the mighty Mekong as it winds its way through the 4000 Islands. We travel through some beautiful scenery until arriving at Don Khon Island. On Don Khon Island we walk to the old French train and the amazing Liphi waterfall. At the waterfall we take a short walk above the falls where we enjoy lunch together amongst some beautiful surroundings! After lunch we begin kayaking down the Mekong to an area near the Cambodian border. Here we will have the chance to see the critically endangered Irrawaddy Dolphins. After spending some time to try and spot the dolphins we paddle onwards to the border with Cambodia where you will be picked up by bus to visit Konephapheng Waterfall, the widest waterfall in all of South East Asia. Finnally back to your hotel.

– During rainy season (July-Oct) the grade of the river may vary, making the kayaking part slightly more difficult.
