DAY 9: CAN THO - CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET- SAIGON (B,L)

06:30AM ~ 07:00AM Being at a wharf to board a motorboat for sightseeing the Cai Rang Floating Market which is the biggest and most colorful floating market in the Mekong Delta’s region.
In the very early morning, the river has become a busy commercial site where hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants and foods…line along the river and are ready for trading. Sellers will hang samples of what they are selling on the top of a long pole on their boats so that buyers can see from a distance what sellers are selling.
After the Cai Rang market, continuing cruising through small creeks to a local orchard and enjoying tropical seasonal fruits. Lunch is at the local restaurant.
Transfer back to Saigon. Free for relax. Dinner is on your own. Stay overnight in Saigon.

Enjoy lunch at Pho Hoa Pasteur – one of the best places to sample Vietnam’s most popular noodle soup. The broth recipe here is a family secret which helps create a little mystique around the flavors. Served with your bowl of pho is a plate of deep fried bread called “qouy”. DAY 11: ANGKOR WAT - FLOATING VILLAGE & LOCAL CRAFTS (B,L)

Sunrise at Angkor Wat is the highlight of today itinerary. You may choose to rise early today to catch the sun rising from behind Angkor Wat’s five carved towers – after being awed you return to your hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast it is time to further discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious building. After lunch you take a short 15km drive to Phnom Krom the large hill that looms closer, and enjoy a relaxing cruise on the on the Tonle Sap lake, the largest lake in South East Asia. You will see the traditional floating village of Chong Kneas and witness the residents going about their daily life – it is quite a sight seeing a whole bamboo village complete with homes, gas stations, schools, hair dressers, and even karaoke bars floating on a lake. On the way back to Siem Reap you will call in at Artisans d’Angkor, an interesting boutique workshop where you can observe young Cambodians learning traditional Khmer handicraft techniques, such as stone & wood carving, and lacquering & gilding – a great opportunity for last minute quality souvenirs. NOTES

1/ The weather & our latest advice on the weather

Light clothes regardless of the season in the south but for the visit of temples and pagodas, make sure you have a top with sleeves (shoulders must be covered) and bottoms going at least up to the knee. From November to March it can get pretty cold in the North, make sure to have warm clothes for mornings and evenings.

Northern Vietnam:

Dec – Feb: 10°C to 25°C, mostly dry, grey.
March: 15°C to 30°C, season change, dry.
April – June: 25°C to 35°C, some heavy showers.
Sept – Oct: 25°C to 35°C, clear weather, occasional showers.

Note: from 5°C to 10°C less in the mountains; make sure you have warm clothes.

Southern Vietnam:

All year: 25°C to 30°
Nov – June: 22°C to 34°C, dry and enjoyable especially from December to February.
July – Oct: 25 to 35°C, showers late afternoon, especially in September.

PhuQuoc :

All year: 25 to 35°
July – Sept: showers late afternoon, refreshing but can last long.

The perfect time to visit Cambodia

Cambodia is under influence of the tropical climate. The best time to travel to Siem Reap is from November to March, during the cooler months of the dry season, when temperatures do not rise above 30 C. In December and January, it can be a bit chilly, especially in the evening and in the morning. As of March, it will be very hot in Siem Reap up to almost 40 C – and especially in May, before the rainy season begins, which lasts until October. The humidity is then extremely high and in rural areas, many roads are no longer passable after the often heavy downpours.
Visa
Vietnam

To go to Vietnam you must have a valid passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return.
The Government of Vietnam promulgates the Resolution on Vietnamese Entry Visa Waiver for Citizens of Five European Countries: UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. This exemption is applied for a maximum period of 15 days regardless of passport categories and purpose of entry into Vietnam, and is valid until June 30, 2021.
For any stay lasting more than 15 days, or for a multiple entry stay in a period of less than 15 days, a visa is required. A period of 30 days is required after the last exit from Vietnam in order to once again benefit from the visa waiver measure for a stay not exceeding 15 days.

Cambodia

You will need a valid passport and a Cambodian visa to enter Cambodia. Tourist and business visas are valid for one month from the date of entry into Cambodia. Cambodia offers online visa processing.
The Cambodian visa now may also obtain at the airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and at all major border crossings. Cambodian immigration officials at airports now collect fingerprints upon entry using an inkless, electronic process. The visa on arrival is valid for a 30-day stay and issued at a cost of US $30 per tourist and US$35 per business traveler.
You must prepare:
+ A passport valid for at least 6 months from the expiry date
+ 02 recent passport-sized (4cm x 6cm) photographs
Some nationalities are required to get a visa in advance at Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Cambodia in their country: Afghanistan, Algeria, Arab Saudi, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Nigeria.
On the other hand, the nationals of the Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia do not need a tourist visa and may stay in Cambodia for 21 and 30 days respectively.

International flight

Our offer does not include international flights between your country and Vietnam/Cambodia for two reasons:
International flights from your country are more expensive if purchased in Vietnam/Cambodia. It is therefore more beneficial for you to buy them from a ticketing agency in your country.
The payment and booking conditions for international flights are strict while it is difficult for us, a local agency, to apply the same conditions to you (full payment before travel). Since international financial transactions give rise to significant bank charges, you will be led to pay unnecessary surcharges.

Which language?

The official and most widely spread language is Vietnamese, Khmer is theofficial language of Cambodia,
English is spoken in all touristic areas.
