Overview

The tour starts from Hanoi, Take a leisurely cruise to explore Ha Long Bay before boarding an “Indochina colonial style train” to the central heritage land. DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING(L)

Arrival in Noi Bai airport, you will be picked up then transferred to the hotel in city center and transfer you to your hotel for check-in
(Check-in time is 14.00 PM, early check-in is not included in itinerary and subject to availability). In the afternoon, our tour guide will take to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda – Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake & Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in 11th century. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple, followed by the Water Puppet show – a uniquely Northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history.  09.30: Back to your boat by tender then finish packing.

DAY 4: BAI DINH PAGODA- TRANG AN CAVE - NIGHT TRAIN TO DONG HOI (B,L)

08:00 Our tourist bus will pick you up at your hotel for departure to Bai Dinh pagoda. Arrive in Buddha Prayer place in Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. You will have free time with our tour guide to visit this pagoda and learn more about Buddhism religion. Then get on the tourist bus continue going to Trang An wharf, take boat trip to visit Trang An cave complex and the scene of King Kong film. Come back to Trang An wharf, take your bicycle to visit traditional villages around Trang An area. Have free time here until get on car for the transfer to Ninh Binh train station for night train to Dong Hoi (depart at 22:25- 6:23AM).

DAY 5: DONG HOI – PHONG NHA – KE BANG NATIONAL PARK – PARADISE CAVE (B,L)

Arrival Dong Hoi train station in the morning (6-7am). Get pick up to a local restaurant for breakfast. 08.00 – 08.15 Get pick up then drive an hour on Ho Chi Minh Trails to Phong Nha Ke Bang national park, you will explore the most impressive Phong Nha caves. After 25 minutes on boat, visitors will arrive Phong Nha cave, take a couple hours to see the cave. This cave is called as water cave, is famous for its rock formation which has been given names such as the “Lion”, the “Fairy Caves”, the “Royal Court”, and the “Buddha”. 12h30: Lunch at local restaurant before exploring National Park in the afternoon. After lunch visit Paradise cave – the Cave was labeled the World’s most beautiful and magnificent. It has the length of 31.4 kms and is the longest dry cave in Asia. With naturally primitive features, Paradise Cave looks like a landscape painting, making it very attractive to visitors. 16h30: Back to your Hotel in Phong Nha town. Dinner is on your own. DAY 6: PHONG NHA – DONG HOI- VINH MOC TUNNELS- HUE (B,L,D)

After breakfast you will leave Phong Nha and go ahead to visit the American wars vestiges of the demilitarized zone (DMZ): tunnels, situated 13 kilometers from the National Road 1. The Vinh Moc tunnels constitute an exceptional infrastructure including dozens of tunnels, dug 18 meters deep. Vinh Moc was the first locality suffering the war in terms of American air destructions against the North in June 1965. The village was almost entirely destroyed, the inhabitants had to dig tunnels to save 84 families with 300 persons to keep the production and fighting. Some of the tunnels are still preserved today. Move to Phuoc Tich village and discovery of the place. After that you will have lunch and go ahead to Hue city (230km – 4,5 hours for transferring). Arrive Hue in the evening, check in the room and relax.
For dinner, the imperial menu: succession of tasty well decorated dishes with carved vegetables, just as the emperor himself in his time. Night at the hotel downtown. Overnight at Hotel in Hue.

DAY 7: HUE SIGHTSEEING (B,L)

After breakfast, you start Hue City Tour from Toa Kham port where the dragon boats anchor. Embarking into a local boat, you stream along Perfume River, which is famous with the dreamlike looking, and located in the heart of Hue. People say that had not seen Perfume River and Ngu Mountain, not known Hue yet. Firstly, we stop at Thien Mu Pagoda – the most characteristic pagoda for the majestic period of Buddha in central Vietnam. After sauntering around Thien Mu pagoda, car transfer to visit Hue Imperial City: impressive in size and historical value, was for almost 145 years (1802 to 1945) the home of the Nguyen rulers, and the political heart of Vietnam. Its grounds are protected by fortified rampart 2 km square and ringed by a moat taking its water from the Perfume River. This enclosure is the Citadel, and inside is the Imperial City, with at its heart the Purple Forbidden City. After lunch, we continue to visit royal tomb with one of the most typical Vietnamese Architect: Minh Mang Tomb: is considered the most majestic of all royal tombs in Hue. Built 20 years after his reign and completed after his death, the symmetrical structure of the tomb is a reflection of harmony with nature. End of Hue city tour, we come over Phu Cam conical hat making village, where holds a part of Hue’s cultural spirit. DAY 8: HUE- PASS OF THE OCEAN CLOUD – HOI AN TOWN (B,L,D)

Heading to Hoi An through the astonishing Pass of the ocean cloud”. Photos stop on the top of the path to admire the view and Homemade lunch in a cottage away from the center of the city, friendly family and delicious local cuisine. Walking tour around the ancient town of Hoi An; visiting the Chuc Thanh Pagoda, the Fujian Chinese community house and the charming colonial buildings. Walk among the 800 buildings of historical heritage. Stop by the Japanese covered bridge, an historic symbol of the city. Boat tour on the river to get in touch with the life of the river bank. At the end of the day, stroll in a lively local market. 
For dinner you will try a dishe known as Banh Vac or White Rose which consist of rice ravioli stuffed with shrimp paste, speciality of Hoi An. Night at the hotel.

DAY 9: HOI AN TOWN TRA QUE VILLAGE – CAM THANH COCONUT VILLAGE (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel Start cycling to Tra Que village, Known for its vegetables. Greeted by a local family, you will be learning farming techniques and help the villagers in their daily tasks.
We will do a Bike ride in the surroundings with a surprise on the way: a buffalo ride an unforgettable experience. Continue your ride on beautiful routes to the jetty of the Cam Thanh village.  Boarding on a traditional boat you will try different fishing activities: raising a large plaice net, learn how to bait fishs and practice hawk net fishing.
Back to Cam Thanh to enjoy delicious local meal prepared by a fisherman’s family. Boarding on a basket boat known as “Thung Chai” for a ride on the canals lined with coconut trees. possibility to fish the famous coconut crabs. Taking the road back to Hoi An. Tour starts at 8:00AM.Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Hai café. We start the day with a welcome drink at our meeting point. Visit Hoi Anscolourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

DAY 11 : SAIGON- BEN TRE CHO LÁCH  (B,L,D)

Departure to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta – knwon as the “capital of the coconut trees.” Arriving in Ben Tre we will take a boat in the heart of the delta. After visiting a brick factory, wew ill continue discovering other businesses like factories making handmade crafts out of coconut fiber… we will take a Walk in a small village throughout schools, rice plateau, orchards and local houses, there, you will meet the warmly and welcoming locals. You will have lunch in your homestay with the specialty of the delta the elephant ear fish“. Cruising along the arroyos in a traditional row boat, relax and enjoy the charming landscape and the scenery the area offers. Visit a bonsai garden and a nursery on the way road to Cho Lach. We will stay for the night in the cottage of Mr. Nam Hien. Possibility to assist locals in the preparation of the traditional dishes that will be served during the dinner duck cooked in coconut milk, the specialty of the house. Night at the cottage (private room).

Bicycle ride to the nearby local market filled with fresh products from the delta. Taking the road back throughout the little trails to a cottage where we will eat lunch. We will have a typical meal with agricultural products from the region. Departure to Can Tho which is the largest city of the Delta. In order to cross the river of the Delta, we will take a ferry with locals. Later on we will Visit a Khmer pagoda with a typical and unique architecture. Dinner in a restaurant on the lively river banks. Night walk in the port of Ninh Kieu. Night at hotel in downtown.

DAY 13 : CAN THO CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET SAIGON SIGHTSEEING(B.L)

1/ He weather & our latest advice on the weather

Light clothes regardless of the season in the south but for the visit of temples and pagodas, make sure you have a top with sleeves (shoulders must be covered) and bottoms going at least up to the knee. From November to March it can get pretty cold in the North, make sure to have warm clothes for mornings and evenings.

Northern Vietnam:

  • Dec – Feb: 10°C to 25°C, mostly dry, grey.
  • March: 15°C to 30°C, season change, dry.
  • April – June: 25°C to 35°C, some heavy showers.
  • Sept – Oct: 25°C to 35°C, clear weather, occasional showers.

          Note: from 5°C to 10°C less in the mountains; make sure you have warm clothes.

Central Vietnam :

  • Dec – Feb: 15°C to 30°C, mostly dry, grey.
  • March – Aug: 25°C to 35°C, dry, ideal.
  • Sept-Nov: 23°C to 32°C, rain risk due to atmospheric depressions.

          Note: Occasional bad weather on the beaches from October to January.

Southern Vietnam:

  • All year: 25°C to 30°
  • Nov – June: 22°C to 34°C, dry and enjoyable especially from December to February.

2/ Visa
  • To go to Vietnam you must have a valid passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return.
  • The Government of Vietnam promulgates the Resolution on Vietnamese Entry Visa Waiver for Citizens of Five European Countries: UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. This exemption is applied for a maximum period of 15 days regardless of passport categories and purpose of entry into Vietnam, and is valid until June 30, 2021.
  • For any stay lasting more than 15 days, or for a multiple entry stay in a period of less than 15 days, a visa is required. A period of 30 days is required after the last exit from Vietnam in order to once again benefit from the visa waiver measure for a stay not exceeding 15 days.

3/ International flight
  • Our offer does not include international flights between your country and Vietnam for two reasons:
  • International flights from your country are more expensive if purchased in Vietnam. It is therefore more beneficial for you to buy them from a ticketing agency in your country.
  • The payment and booking conditions for international flights are strict while it is difficult for us, a local agency, to apply the same conditions to you (full payment before travel). Since international financial transactions give rise to significant bank charges, you will be led to pay unnecessary surcharges.
